We're building the things we've always dreamed of.
Hollowspell started in 2022 with a simple, stubborn idea: make the kind of story-driven game we'd always wanted to play, and build the tools we'd always wished for at the table. Two projects grew out of that, and they're the ones we're pouring ourselves into now: Lae and the TTRPG Toolkit.
We're small. For now that's mostly one person, Bryan Lynch, who founded Hollowspell and leads both projects, with a few kind people lending their time along the way. No one's paid yet. We build in the hours we can find, because we love what we're making and we're in it for the long haul.
Where we are
Where it starts
Hollowspell begins with two dreams we couldn't shake: a story-driven JRPG, and a toolkit for the people who run tabletop games.
Heads down, building
Lae and the TTRPG Toolkit are both in active development. We're making them in the open, in the hours we can find, and sharing the journey as we go.
Our first releases
We'll share dates when we're truly ready. Until then, we'd rather take the time to get it right than rush it out the door.
The team
Bryan founded Hollowspell in 2022. He leads design across both Lae and the TTRPG Toolkit, and does a little of everything else in between. Hollowspell exists because these are the games and tools he's always wanted to make.
For now, Hollowspell is small, and a lot of the work is Bryan's own. When others pitch in, across art, code, writing, design, and audio, they do it on their own time, because they care where these projects are headed. We'd love for the team to grow.
